Maternity leave in 2024
The size of the maternity allowance for 2024 was announced by the SFR in its telegram channel.
From January 1, the minimum and maximum amounts of the allowance will be:
- in 140 days 88 565.40 rub. and 565 562.20 rub. accordingly;
- for 156 days 98 687.16rubles and 630 197.88 rubles
- for 194 days122 726.34rubles and 783 707.62rubles.
The minimum and maximum amounts of child care allowance up to 1.5 years old will be indexed from 02/01/2024.And from the beginning of the year, it will be possible to get out of work leave ahead of schedule and not lose benefits before the age of 1.5 years.
Maternity capital in February is planned to increase by 7.5%:
- for the first child, 630,967.72 rubles.
- for the second child, 833,800.37 rubles.
Maternity leave in 2023
In 2023, taking into account the estimated period of 2021-2022 and the corresponding average daily earnings of 2,736.99 rubles. The maximum benefits are:
- if the birth took place without complications in 140 days (70+70), 383 178.60 rubles.
- for complicated childbirth in 156 days (70+86) — 426 970.44 rubles;
- for multiple pregnancies in 194 days (84+110) — 530 976.06rubles.
Earlier, the Ministry of Labor also announced new amounts of other social benefits and sick leave benefits for 2023.
The minimum amount of the BIR allowance is calculated based on the minimum wage on the date of commencement of maternity leave.
From 01.01.2023, the minimum average daily earnings for the benefit is 533.98rubles (16 242 rubles × 24/730). Accordingly, the minimum allowance is obtained:
- 74 757.20rubles for 140 days
- 83300.88 rubles for 156 days
- 103592.12rubles for 194days.
